I am very pleased to support Bill S-205, which will help fight the rise in violence against women and intimate partner violence by strengthening the use of electronic monitoring devices.
A women is murdered every 48 hours in Canada. We must use every tool at our disposal to protect those who have made the courageous choice to flee abusive and violent partners.
I hope all parties will support the passage of this important bill into law.
