Russia's invasion of the Ukraine is the most serious threat to peace among major powers since the end of World War Two. Canada must support the Ukrainian people in their struggle through every means possible.

We must recognize that we too share our northern borders with a dangerous and unpredictable neighbour. We must take steps to secure our own sovereignty and safety against all threats.

And we must stand firmly with the global alliance of peaceful, democratic, and free nations of the world.
