    Pass Bill S-205

I am very pleased to support Bill S-205, which will help fight the rise in violence against women and intimate partner violence by strengthening the use of electronic monitoring devices.

A women is murdered every 48 hours in Canada. We must use every tool at our disposal to protect those who have made the courageous choice to flee abusive and violent partners.

I hope all parties will support the passage of this important bill into law.

    Stop the Hunting Rifle Ban

I'm deeply concerned about the government's proposed firearm confiscation plan. That's why I recently spoke to reporters about why Bill C-21 is all smoke and mirrors, and why we need to focus on real solutions to address rising rates of violent crime.

I explain why more firearms laws won't make Canadians any safer and how this proposal is simply a distraction from the real issues that need to be addressed.

Trudeau's Chief of Staff Must Testify

Tomorrow MPs will vote whether or not to call Katie Telford, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, to testify at the parliamentary committee investigating allegations of electoral interference by the People's Republic of China.

Mrs. Telford knows what Justin Trudeau knew, when he knew it, and why he didn't act.

I ask my colleagues from the NDP to stand up to their Liberal coalition partners, do the courageous thing, and support our motion.

Canadians deserve to have their questions answered, and their faith in our elections restored.

    #KillBillC11

Bill C-11 will let the government dictate to streaming services, social media, and search engines what content to show you.

Canadians can decide for themselves what they want to stream and share.

That freedom to watch and create is what has allowed so many Canadian creators to thrive online and spread their content around the world. That's why 40,000 of them have said they don't want this bill to pass.

I stand with Canadian creators against C-11.

No Bail for Repeat Violent Offenders

The Liberals broke Canada’s bail system. Conservatives will fix it.

Repeat violent offenders need to be behind bars, not on bail.

Press Conference After Being Removed From The House of Commons

The Liberals are implementing the largest assault on hunters in Canadian history.

They are lying to Canadians. I stand by my words.

C-5 Lets Criminals Off the Hook

Bill C-5 opens the possibility of violent criminals, drug dealers and sexual predators serving house arrest instead of jail time. This is unacceptable.

    Bill C-21 Is Political Theatre

Canadians are concerned about rising gun violence in their communities. They deserve real action from their government.

Instead, the Liberals are giving them the political theatre of Bill C-21.

The Government wants to Censor Your Internet

The Liberal government wants to regulate the content you watch and read online.

I don't trust them to do that in a fair or objective way.

I trust Canadians to make their own choices.

    Canada Stands With Ukraine

Russia's invasion of the Ukraine is the most serious threat to peace among major powers since the end of World War Two. Canada must support the Ukrainian people in their struggle through every means possible.

We must recognize that we too share our northern borders with a dangerous and unpredictable neighbour. We must take steps to secure our own sovereignty and safety against all threats.

And we must stand firmly with the global alliance of peaceful, democratic, and free nations of the world.

My Speech on the Emergencies Act

Last week the Prime Minister took the extreme, unprecedented measure to invoke the Emergency Measures Act, which is a direct admission of his failure of leadership to peacefully resolve the illegal blockades and de-escalate the legal protests in Canada.

    Emergency Debate on Anti-Mandate Protests

The government must build bridges to reach those who feel abandoned, and chart a course for all of us to exit this pandemic. I will continue to advocate for unity, for compassion and for respect, and I hope that those in power will act on these principles.
